1 · Controller

The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website within the meaning of Art. 4 (7) GDPR is:

biowissen UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
[Street, House Number]
[Postal Code] [City], Germany
Email: mat@biowissen.ai

You can reach the controller for any data protection request at the email address above.

2 · Scope of this policy

This policy applies to handedover.com (hereinafter "the website") and to data we receive when you contact us by email. It does not cover third-party services we link to.

3 · Server log files

When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits, in so-called server log files. The following data may be collected:

Purpose: ensuring the technical operation, security, and stability of the site.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a secure website).
Storage period: typically up to [7 / 14 / 30] days, then deleted or anonymised.

4 · Contact and customization form

If you contact us via the customization form on the homepage or by email, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, work email, company, area, your description) for the purpose of responding to your request.

Note on the form: the customization form opens your own email client with a pre-filled message addressed to mat@biowissen.ai. Your data is therefore transmitted via your chosen email provider; we receive it as an incoming email.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures at your request) and, where applicable, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering inquiries).
Storage period: as long as necessary to handle your request, after which we delete the data unless statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. commercial or tax law, typically 6–10 years).

5 · Newsletter

If you sign up to the biowissen newsletter, we process your email address to send you product and progress updates.

Sign-up uses a double opt-in procedure: after you submit your address, we send a confirmation email containing a link. We only add you to our list once you have clicked that link.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (your consent).
Withdrawal: you can withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future, by clicking the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email or by writing to mat@biowissen.ai. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Storage period: until you unsubscribe.
Newsletter provider: [once selected: e.g. Brevo, Mailchimp, Buttondown — including their server location and the order processing agreement (AVV) reference].

6 · Cookies and analytics

This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. Only strictly technical cookies that may be set by your browser or by basic hosting are used.

Legal basis (technical only): § 25 (2) TTDSG and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Should we add analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy and request consent in line with § 25 (1) TTDSG and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR before any non-essential cookie is set.

7 · Hosting

The website is hosted by [provider — e.g. Vercel, Netlify, Hetzner, AWS]. Server location: [EU / Germany / specific data centre]. We have concluded a data processing agreement (Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag, AVV) with the provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing this website).

8 · Your rights as a data subject

You have the following rights under the GDPR concerning the personal data we process about you:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at mat@biowissen.ai.

9 · Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority for our registered office in Bavaria is:

Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA)
Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany
www.lda.bayern.de

You may also contact the authority of your habitual residence or place of work.

10 · Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our service or the legal landscape changes. The current version is always available at this URL. Material changes will be communicated via the newsletter where appropriate.
